Description
Captured at Rostov Civil Engineering University (EXIT sign over the doorway). I've been doing basketball at the local gym for quite a long time since I started working here. Even though I changed my place way back to the early 1990's, I still come. Practice starts at 19:00. They cut off the elevators, which is good for a warmup.

You are one of the finer artists on this site. A simple image of an empty room and yet it communicates such a feeling of desolation, abandonment, loneliness. The black and white enhances the feeling. Outstanding result.
Agree with wysiwig, dear Nikolay. A stunner. Hugs for all day. Di. xx
such drama wrested from an empty room, requires skill and foresight and you seem to have these things in bucket loads, excellent work
xlt captured mood
Another brilliant iconic work from the master! Cutting off the lift seems a little harsh.
belle photo
I love the mood!!
Excellent shot, mood and composition, Nikolay. :)
MARVELOUS WORK!
Love the atmosphere...cold and lonely...just what I'd expect from a public building after hours. Although I say I expect it, I rarely think about capturing a mood. Well done.
I can hear the echo of shoes on hard floors, the bang of a metal door in the distance ... this is just right, my friend. I love the result you got.
Beautiful tonal range, textures & lighting...
Atmospheric and lovely shot!
outstanding work
At first it appears so cold, stark, almost naked to the eyes - until one relaxes to find life in the lifeless ... simple magic ;) BB
great comp. and light!
Great capture, nikolais.
Excellent capture....a little melancholy
Love the atmosphere :)
Wonderful shot... I love this one !
