Description
This is/was Klas. He was a member of a group of animals used in therapy to help wayward teenagers get their lives back on track at a home for such teens run by the son of a colleague of mine.
Klas died of a heart attack last week. He was HUGE!
This photo is of Klas as he looked in the summer of 2012. People would bring all their food left-over to Klas, who gladly ate them. No wonder he became so big! Klas is sorely missed by all who knew him, including his pen mate - a boar.
About the pig "pen". The pen was once covered with grass (like the horse pen to the left, but Klas tore up and ate all the grass! Leaving a muddy mess which he loved to poke about and dig in.

Oh, those piggies do like their mud! It's a shame about Klas. I'm sure the kids will miss him. He was cute. I don't know too much about these things, but I'm curious how Klas, a domestic hog, got along with the boar. I guess the owner would not have put them together unless they got along.
