Description
These two, presumably father and daughter, are being observed by a sea gull from above while exploring the beach along the waterline. The picture was taken near the Coronado-Broadway Pier and shows part of the U.S. Naval Air Station North Island in the distance. On the far left is visible the 'Island' tower of USS 'Carl Vinson' (CVN-70), a 'Nimitz' class supercarrier.

Wonderful capture Sig! everything seems to fit together in this scene
Not so sure what they would find that close to the Military Industrial complex...tar sands maybe? Defiantly a different way of seeing the beach. It is no wonder they all want to move to Baja and keep it from turning into this! Love a pic that stirs the mind!
Maybe this is a commercial enterprise? Find something they can report as dangerous or unhealthy, or find something they can sell!

Picking up sea shells comes to mind...a favorite pastime of all little boys and girls and dads:) Think that seagull is about to drop a 500 pounder? lol
We have a Nimitz-class too ... well ... actually, it's the Nimitz! That's a steep beach. maybe they're just drawing pictures in the wet sand. That bmac62. What a card he is! LOL!

I like this POV too Sig and I can not conceive the size of one of those super carriers. I started out on the USS Lake Champlain. A WW II leftover with a stucco wooden flight deck and no extra side angle flight deck.
