"I've Got Your Back"
Not a Mayday or Pan, Pan, Pan radio call.. just an embarrassed group of fishers calling on the local marine channel 68 seeing if someone had some spare fuel with them or could give them a tow back to the habour. As the squelch from distant boats brought the radio to life, it was quickly determined we were the closest. After hauling in our fishing gear we made the 7.5 mile trek back towards a boat in fuel distress. We gladly provided them with one of our spare fuel jerry cans which allowed my son and I to get back to our fishing and let these fellows to fish back to the docks under there own power.
So we waited until their engine kicked back to life, said goodbye to new friends, and then continued on our way.
Today it was these fellows however tomorrow it could be... well to be truthful I hope tomorrow its still someone else...lol.

Funny story......have been there, nearly. Not out of gas but the motor quit. Nice people stopped to tow us back to our cove. :-)) Looks pretty stormy on your day....we at least had nice weather.
I bet that they were glad to see you come along to help them out.
Good to see good people still out there. I know there a lot of them and the news will never put out news like this. if they did I think the world would be a better place.
A very good deed and I hope you caught plenty of fish.
Oops - they can be glad you were around. great image.
I've been hauled/towed back before with engine problems but never without running out of gas. Hope they learned their lesson for safety reasons. Great job coming to the rescue to a fellow fisherman. Great capture and memories to tell a story. Aloha
Very cool image and good story

You'll be double checking fuel from now on in mate :) Brilliant story and shot.
I'm sure they will Ronnie!

Always good to help out when you can...what a beautiful location to break down, though! Looks chilly, but so lovely. Excellent capture!
Shining shot.
