Description
This shrub is a delight in my garden and one of the few prickly things I allow.
It has wonderfully bright cheerful flowers with masses of pollen and nectar for the insects, followed by deep purple fruits beloved by. the birds
So I put up with the assault on my paper thin skin!

Wonderful capture that's the problem with maturing, as I see it...certain conditions occur that make life 'interesting' to say the least (having a good supply of first aid stuff is essential)
Excellent capture
wonderful detail Andrea
Beautiful capture. Sometimes we need to put up with a little pain to enjoy the pleasure
This is a lovely image. It looks rather Christmasy. I find the older I get the longer it takes to heal.
Wonderful capture, Andrea. I like berberis, as we, my brothers and I, grew up with berberis around the whole apartment block. The kind that have acidulous tasting leaves. We sometimes chewed these leaves and we made necklaces of the fruits. WHo cared if they were prickly? We didnt. We made caves in them. :-)
This is a lovely shot.
Excellent lighting and color contrast. A lovely photo and zoom!
SUPERB IMAGE!

Stunning capture Andrea. God Bless.

They really do look quite nice, but those thorns are evil I think!
a delight indeed
These are so pretty looks about like holly nice capture.
Nice color contrast
They are pretty!!
They are lovely in all their incarnations. Wear a lot of protection around them!!
Another one that would make a lovely Christmas Card, the red and green make is so festive!
I have to agree this is a great shrub despite the prickles.
Lovely! The light on the cluster next to the light on the leaves is just superb. Gorgeous image!
