Description
Taken on a hike yesterday near Applegate Lake, on a trail called Prospector's Loop. Two madrones whose branches have become entangled. I've noticed that this often happens with madrones. Sometimes the branches of separate trees even fuse with each other, as has happened here...

A striking view. You did a great job. I've seen a number of madrones in this sort of configuration but when I look through the viewfinder it never looks this good:)
I didn't realize that could happen! Very cool shot. I'll have to keep a closer eye out for this sort of thing. We have 'em here (although they're called Madrona in the northern part of their range for some reason) and they're one of my favorite trees. I guess I don't pay very good attention, huh? :P
