Description
The end of the abbot's benediction was the signal for those who had been waiting to line up and pay their respects to the Guru. Everyone touched the sacred thanka and most pressed their fingers to their lips afterwards. I joined in. I realized then that, whether it was a church in Los Angeles or a high mountain valley in Bhutan, in the end, we are not so different.

I'm struck by the colors. How beautiful! Whether it's intentional or a cultural bias, the result is lovely. I'm enjoying seeing this celebration!
As I watch events in every corner of the world through the eyes of the BBC I am daily struck by this fact of our commonality. Like Tara I love the purples and blues:I wonder if there is a practical reason behind these dyes and what pants they come from.
This would be such a wonderful thing to see. You are so fortunate.
Quite a journey in my mind as well as in my sight!
Is... is that woman picking her nose???
The colour's actually do have meaning simply ask Google. Thank's for this image-Learning quite a bit via this series
Quite enlightening, this journey you've taken us on, Mark. I thank you
I love colors on this! Also the way they mix traditional clothes with sneakers! Great history and capture, Mark! Yes, we are very similar, after all.
AMAZING WORK
Nobody jostling ... all wait and are patient! Unimaginably to us. Someone is always in a rush.
