Description
There are several of these at the outdoor section of our local mall. I imagine they're to put flower baskets in during the summer, but it's just a guess.
I liked it because it was a shape! :)

...either that or they're multi-flux, quantum wave guides. Whatever those are! That's just something that popped into my head for no apparent reason. Maybe I'm pining for Star Trek and the gobs of technobabble that made the Next Generation so enjoyable. I love this image, and I have to say that I also think this might have something to do with plant containment, but one never knows. I love the colors and the wonderful lines in this; there's something comforting and almost subterranean in the whole vibe of this image.
Not only a different shape but a different texture among all those other lines and angles. Like it. Very eye catching:)
I agree with Bill - there is a lot going on here. An excellent shot in its simplicity.
I like the way you can find natural art in things around us.
superb pov. !!
Chip may be on to something. I wouldn't stand under it. You might get 'beamed up'.
I've been jumping through a lot of these, lately! But none of tem look as good as this one, Tara!
It is just in case you get bored queueing. Take a ball next time. A wonderfully satisfying composition.
Love the comments about this hoop shot Very cool capture
Nice shop Tara, but a strange place for a basketball hoop. LOL
They could be mind-wave projectors. Did you feel like buying something expensive while you were there? Well spotted, and an excellent capture!!
nice lightplay and interesting shapes
Superb capture Tara. God Bless.
LOL@honey Could be basketball hoops for the mall rats :)

Or just because someone was paid to much.... Nice textures though.. Rob
