A lamppost near me.
I shall be very sad when they pull these out and replace them.
No postwork.

Superb capture Andrea. God Bless.
All the different colours, like both pics!!
wonderful !!!!!
I really like the colors and textures in this image. Some of the fragments remind me of the walking leafs I saw in ?Southeast Asia.
Very cool capture
Beautiful !
Great texture. Well done.
Such a beautiful shot of this cracks :)
What a wonderful shot!
I always like the textures on these shots.
Amazing - could also be the flaking bark of a particular tree species !
This shot needs no postwork it's great as it is.
Outstanding rendition of one of my favorite subject matter, Andrea. Could almost pass as lichen or just plain tree bark.
I enjoy the cracking effects and patterns of old paint – a plus if it includes rust! :o) Liked the digifiddled version as well.
That deep, deep flaking is hypnotizing! I keep trying to mentally peel it back ... it's a joy to see!
I gotta say they do look like they need replacing....or at the very least work done on them! Maybe they could hire the guy who designed the Bournemouth Imax to come up with the look of the new lampposts. They'll be 200 metres high!!!!!!!!!
Nice abstract texture study. It reminds me the peeling bark I see on madrones...
U would think that they would leave them unless they are replacing them with new ones great shot of it.
Texture, texture, texture...ahhhhh.
It almost reminds me of some kind of lichen. What a wonderful capture!
I must think a lot like you. They pulled all the wonderful old lamp posts down around here and replaced them with fiberglass ones. ugh.
cool capture!
They will replace that with some awful concrete or steel. These old Victorian lamp posts have a ton of character.
