...driving west in South Dakota along Interstate Highway 90 late one afternoon. What a show...
If you have a large monitor, a zoom is worthwhile.

Now that's some flat land. The sky is magnificent & it fills my monitor very nicely when zoomed...
So big an area yet empty-The sky is so soft looking in zoom.
Nice shot Bill, great prespective!
Amazing sky! How do you not fall asleep driving on such straight roads?!
It certainly is an amazing show Bill.

Love it Bill. Amazing capture. God Bless.
Fantastic capture!
You would not think it but there are many dramatic shots to be had in the Dakotas! Will be posting some of the ones I had time to get. Missed many more. Lots of God Rays like you captured here. A few missile silos too lol.
I can see for miles and miles
Lovely view Bill. That is about all there is to see on 90 in South Dakota.

Amazing shot! I love the skies you can get while driving out on the open road, and this is certainly one of them. Great work!
I love it. This is such a fantastic, open shot. It looks as if you've taken a shot of open country at exactly the moment the sky decided to do something and it's doing it quite well. Skies can be ultra-dramatic and this has drama galore! I love the subtlety of the colors and all of that breathing room! WOW!
My favourite view, a big weather system and sun shooting rays out below...beautiful shot!
Hence the term "big sky..." A magnificent shot, Bill!
The State where I was born, so many decades ago. Awesome cloud blends and contrasts in this sky photo, Bill.
