Description
The cat walk is the Long Beach walking trail, here seen as it winds its way past the Catalina Express dock looking onto Palm Beach Park.
Had an hour or so to kill while waiting to take the night time Express to Santa Catalina Island and so took advantage of the golden hour lighting to get in a few shots. Been gone a few weeks doing field work on the island and in the Transverse Mountains north of LA. Hence my absence; that and a case of artistic burnout.
Black and white HDR cleaned up a bit with Topaz Denoise.

Roxy, I'm so glad to see you're back and can't think of a better way to close out my evening than with a visit to your lovely gallery. This really is a nice photo to show off this majestic setting. This view from the catwalk shows off the express dock perfectly, and is a splendid way to celebrate 400 images in the gallery. Huge congratulations and hope you're over that artistic burnout :)

When the picture was in color, my view would be distracted. So my view it follows the lines in the picture. right, left and then the infinity of heaven ..... A picture full of wide and deep!
Very nice. I like the silhouetted row of trees, the high contrast reflections & the scattering of clouds. The sun is almost invisible, I didn't notice it at first...
