Description
There were a couple of comments on the photo I posted yesterday about how the landscape had a science fiction feel to it. Along those lines, this small formation looked like a kind of alien life form to me - one with a bony exoskeleton. Don't know if the scale is apparent or not, but this formation was roughly 8 - 10 feet long & very low to the ground...

That is too cool. I love the miniature landscape. Outstanding place, and a great shot!
So cool!
Super shot and could be a fossilized body and head of a rhino!
Looks like a miniature of the bigger badlands formations. Very neat!
This looks like the puddles of pot metal and aluminum that form after somebody torches a stolen car. But I could see the Curiosity Rover taking a similar picture. Very cool photo!
A fascinating object...
Very cool find Great capture
Obviously an alien. I agree. :) :)
Wow! A rockfish! Well, that's what I'd call it, anyways...great find!
That's a great capture to feed the imagination. I like these more muted sandy colors.
What a wonderful and extraordinary discovery, and very nicely photographed. (btw, I am grateful for the compliment you wrote on my last upload, because I always am very uncertain.)
wow this is something
yes, this formation arouses the fantasy....well seen and shot!
At 8 to 10 feet - that would be a scary fossilized skeleton.
