Holland at its Best or Double Dutch
Today we were on the island of Marken (now a day’s connected by a dike to the mainland) in the IJsselmeer (IJssellake --- Southersea yearssssss ago).
At the feet of the “Horse of Marken” (= light house of Marken) there is, two days after the frost / winter has left the Netherlands, still a lot of ice despite the fact that the temperature is well above freezing point (7 degrees Celcius) but due to the wind the chill factor gave a feeling of below freezing point!!
Tomorrow more about ice around the Horse of Marken, I found this snap shot of these two little ducks a nice kick-off. Holland at its best or Double Dutch.
