Description
When we were at the beach in the fog the other day, I just happened to turn and see a train going by.
Usually there is sound. You can hear the train coming from a mile away, the sound of the wheels on the track amplified across the water.
On this day, I heard no train. Perhaps the fog muffled its approach. Perhaps it was the Number 8 passing through.
There's no way to tell, of course. A train coming out of the fog might be the local carrying empty containers back to the city, or it could have a single passenger bound for Pekkur, his pockets stuffed with catalpa leaves.
I'll leave it for you (and Chip) to decide.

How funny that I see this so long after this has been posted, and just a short time after thinking of the Number 8. I just found out that it stops in Bulgaria, too! It makes one stop in Sofia. Who knew? I love the mood that this has. The misty-foggy quality really brings out the headlights and I suspect it has a strange damping effect on the sound of the engine...not seriously so, but just enough to do something to it. The branches add something wonderful as well...something mysterious and inviting all at once, and well...I do love the way parts of the environment there do recall the environment of Agara. Bulgaria's a wee bit drier. This is amazing! It's inspiring, too!
Cool shot! Looks like it snuck right up on you in the bushes!
