Description
Close to "Ons Huisie" (literally translated to Our Small Home), Bloubergstrand (in Afrikaans literally means "blue mountain beach"), the large wooden cross out on the promontory rocks was erected in memory of the Heather Bam who lived in a house nearby and drowned off the point in 1911.
The circular wooden box contains a life ring with rope attached for rescue.
See the halo around the sun, top right? Must have been icy up there!
