Wonderful capture looks like what happened to my mom's hydrangea
I really like the fact that this shot invites you into it; there are nooks and crannies, planes, curves, and cool stuff. I love the colors; they remind me of pulp before it's rendered into paper. The initial colors are fading, but other colors are showing up and interacting interestingly. This contains a wealth of interesting, hypnotic details.

Yes--death can be beautiful--my yard is full of dead & dying bougeanvilla blossoms -- so lovely on the green grass----great shot.

Flowers are beautiful in full bright bloom, but as your photo demonstrates, beauty can be found at all stages of the life cycle if you know how to look. I think that probably applies to humans as well & maybe even to everything...
