Description
I love all the different angles and planes on aircraft. I know there's a very good reason for an aircraft to have all those planes, but honestly, it doesn't interest me a whole bunch. I just like the visual treat. :)
This is the second clue in my challenge for the aviation nuts! (It's actually for Rob in particular, because today is his birthday and I want to give him a chance to think about airplanes!)
The first image was, indeed, a filter. It's an updraft carburator air intake.
This second image will eliminate a whole bunch of guesses and should steer those still doing research onto a tighter path!
(Hint: If you're scratching your head over what you're seeing, the clue is in the paint job.)

Yeh,well,no,you see when I said a Spitfire, I'd obviously caught the reflection of that Hurricane and the distortion in the manifold caused a sun spot and that caught my minds eye and once it passed through the 'honeycomb'......OK I was wrong!! but it's definitely a Fiesler Storch..........behind the mystery airplane :-) It's a good job you weren't a spy Tara, with photos like this we'd STILL be wondering what the hell a 'doodlebug' was :-) but of course it's great fun guessing! A great credit to you, that you are able to take such an iconic machine and make it so hard to see.....

Well maybe I was right on it being Russion, but still cam't guess. Wonderful POV!!
my thought is that it is Russian and it has the backwards Props, but they are not the double props of the bomber

The red star is a dead give away and ids it as Eastern Block.

Definitely part of a Russian star.... I'm certainly no expert on Russian aircraft, but I'll go along with the Shturmovik.. This does make a really gorgeous abstract, Tara!
Well now (aside from the Hawker Hurricane in the background there), I am sure its a WW2 Russian Fighter, which brings us down to either MIG or YAK.. Mmmmm? I am going to go with a Yak.. BUT, then which one.. A Mk 1 or 3? lol I am not cheating and looking at the website.. I'm going to go with a Yak 3, and I'm wrong yeah? lol Rob

It looks like an aquatic creature from this pov.. I guess streamlining in air and water works similarily.
