Yes Andrea but which insect does it look like!
I'd say a dragonfly!
Sikorsky S-51 Dragonfly to be exact
LOL well done.
Sweet. sorry i didnt see this in time to guess.vbut seeing how i have never seen or heard of this one before i would have only been guessing. Please post a shot of just the dragonfly and some info. 5/5 well done on this one.
Superb capture my friend. God Bless.
Looks like a praying mantis Andrew great capture dude.
Nice shot. I remember seeing the Dragonfly but don't really know much about it.
Sikorsky Dragonfly.... Maybe? Great POV and very interesting mate. Cheers for these.. Rob
Man that's an oldiee!!!
is needing gatling guns for rescue?...;)
Maybe the gatling is needed to dissuade sharks:) Great pair of insects you have here mate!
I know this type was the first type of helicopter flown by the RAAF...thanks to google:)
bonne année 2013
Yep Sikorsky Dragonfly, I remember there one being in the old 50's movie 'Them'. As for the Huey, just love the sound of those in flight. Good link mate :)
I was thinking Sikorsky but did not know the model's name. a company here flies very old Sikorsky's but larger. they use them to lift heavy objects onto roofs when the weather is better, I plan on taking a ride in a Korean war vintage Bell
Great shot of the Huey, have a few hours in that. It is my all-time favorite with distinctive sound. I would have guessed a Sikorsky, but I thought it may have been a UH-19. Liked your video of the last Huey flight!
Love Hueys, there's one flying out of Blackpool I hope to see in the Summer.I actually knew the 'Dragonfly' (not in the biblical sense).Very cool photo, superb video clip....that's the first time I've seen someone hand wind a rotor...guess they misplaced the jumper cables... :-)
A nice POV! We adidn't have these in the US Navy - we flew in Sikorsky Sea Kings!
