I have heard that the only time you can stop smoking is when you really (deeply with every part of yourself) want to quit. The same is no doubt true for anything one might choose for a new years resolution.
I missed last weekend due to eye trouble, but recovered enough for this cartoon (and I had the closet scene set up already).

Hope you are better now. Excellent point and illustration - though I'm not sure about the smoking. After chain-smoking for 39 years, I am just coming up to a year and four months without a ciggie and I'm sure that I only managed to stop because my desire to live was slightly stronger than my desire for it all to end. Having said that, I still have a strong desire to smoke. I suspect that will not go away. Anyhow, Have a great New Year full of peace and prosperity and best of luck with any resolutions (if applicable). :-)
@Staticon, Perhaps a better way for me to word it is that for some people, they can only stop if they fully want to stop, or perhaps to say that you have to associate the smoking sufficiently with bad things (death) that you are able to resist.
