I just froze my whoopsie-daisy off to get this shot.... :-D
A 30-second exposure @ F-5.6.. The orange glow is from the streetlight across the street from my house. The round 'object' is actually a lens flare caused by internal lens reflections of the streelight. I'd love it if it was the moon, but it isn't! LOL!
The streak of light in the sky is the International Space Station orbiting approximately 240 miles above the Earth, and traveling at around 17,000 mph. It appeared in the WNW, and disappeared ESE. Total viewing time was about 4 minutes.
You can go to NASA's website, and click on the Space Station link, where you can track the station, or sign up to get e-mails when it will pass over your area.
Thanks so much for all the great comments on my T.N.A. Spa Day episode! That was a riot to create - I'll have to do more little side-stories like that! :-D

Well... cool shot! Relieved to read that the streak of light isn't the station falling out of orbit!
Which is why if it hit a wing-nut up there the outcome wouldn't necessarily be pretty... Nice idea... I made a point of showing my kids the Mir station when it used to go over ages back. Haven't got into the habit with the ISS yet...
That is an amazing and very intriguing shot, Rod! How did you hide the moon and get the ISS trail? I like the apparent ISS itself at the far right of the trail!
