Description
Captured back on 8/8/09, in the beautiful Desert Garden of the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California.
Just one of many fotos I took of this particular species of big round cacti during my five visits to the Botanical Center in 2009. I haven't identified the other varieties in this image.
ZOOM for better definition.
Cheerybye, and have a nice day.
Only two more days to go before you know what.

We call these 'Mother-in-Law's Chairs'!
Fantastic capture here Harry, those are some beautiful cactus
Ooh, what a great capture of this fantastic garden! Those are the healthiest cacti I've ever seen, I think. I hope you were careful around them, they could really hurt! Well done, Harry!
Nice collection of cacti. I would not want to be the person responsible for weeding around these, ouch!
Very cool cactus & a fine capture...
This is amazing! I've heard the "Mother-in-Law's-Chairs" reference, too. I really must catch up on the stuff in your gallery, but I'll have to also say that this is brilliant. I love the clarity and the intensity of the light. Fantastic. Cacti are such wonderful plants and these are doozies. Great work.
What a great shot. Both beautiful and dangerous. Wonderful comments from the others. :} Nice work Dad!
So neat and tidy, and looks so warm nice photo.
beautiful cactus scene, great lighting and details
These are great; look like some kind of alien beings!!
Great garden scene
Great close up Harry of these slightly weird looking plants but of course this is all used in the course of their survival.. Nice shot.. Rob
