Description
Waiting for the sun to rise while on my 3rd floor balcony at the Trung Ngyen Hotel in Chau Doc I noticed an unusual number of TV antennas. Chau Doc is known for its fish and fish sauce, but what I didn't know is that the Tan Chau District around Chau Doc is famous all over southern Vietnam for its traditional industry, silk making. The area is known for its wealth, which is apparent in the proliferation of TV antennas and the widespread ownership of luxury goods such as electrical appliances.
