ahhh, man.. sad. I'm sure he had a great life Mike.
Very sorry to read of this Mike. I know these birds and they make wonderful pets and I am sure you were the best daddy possible for JD - the fact that he had 25 years shows that he was well loved and cared for. Blessed Be Beyond The Rainbow As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played, I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade. I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity. I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide! And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be! My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do. I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night. 'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold. For although we may not be together in the way we used to be, We are still connected by a cord no eye can see. So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart. Author Unknown

So sorry for your loss of your pet cockatiel Mike. JD can sing heavenly songs now and maybe you'll hear them in your dreams. Bless you both hon.
A wonderful tribute for your pet!
Mike, all I can say is I am so sorry for your loss my friend. I know there are several of my pets waiting there to greet J.D.
So sorry to hear this Mike..nice tribute!!
So sorry for your loss, Mike. Pets always seem to have a special place in our hearts. Reminds me of an old Twilight Zone story where a man has died and is headed up a road towards heaven with his dog. At one point he meets a kindly gentleman who tells him he has arrived at heaven but won't let the dog in. The dog growls at him and the dead man decides to keep going. When he finally reaches heaven St. Peter tells him that the other man was the devil. The devil can't stand animals because they see right through him. Many, many, many years from now, when you find yourself on a road, let JD be your guide.
A handsome fellow & I am sorry for your loss. He'll be perched on that bridge for you, I'm sure. Hugs
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaawe! That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SAD Mike! I am so sorry to hear of this! My African Grey died in 2009 and I still miss her terribly! We shared a close bond for a number of years. I feel your sorrow. Looks like JD had a fairly long life for a cockatiel. Must have died of old age?
too bad Mike.always hard to lose a companion
Sorry at the passing of your dear friend..
Oh Mike =( so very sorry to hear of this sad news about JD~ I will keep you in my thoughts, it's never easy to lose a dear critter companion no matter how much you can prepare for it. This is a loving tribute to him, my friend~

Such a sweetie! They are so clever, those cockatiels, especially as they come from a land downunder. I am sure he will be fondly remembered!
I,m so sorry for your loss Mike. He lived at your side during 25 years of friendship and love. Now he has moved to your heart, to accompany you the rest of your life.
sorry to hear bro.but you gave him some fine years i presume.
25 Years??? I think ya had him for a good long time... the dogs I've had are too old to walk, or see at 13... could he talk? I think if I would of visited you and could say stuff to him, I'd like to get him to say: "Don't Step In That" lol... I like to say that to somebody I'm walking with and they're not watching their feet - lol, you would be surprised at how many people almost fall on their face trying not to step on something that is not there
Sad to see to hear of the loss my friend. Superb capture. God Bless.
