BRR! Buy we had sunshine most of the day, so I had a good light, while painting :)

You captured Mr. Pheasant and his two wives perfectly! Or maybe Mr. Pheasant, Mrs. Pheasant, and Ms. Sister-in-Law Pheasant who is visiting her sister because it's a nice pheasant holiday and Mr. Pheasant has paid for the whole meal. OK...maybe not. At any rate, this is a perfect seasonal shot! I love these sorts of birds. I grew up listening to their very loud, very sudden (and suddenly, very silent!) noises and then I'd see a small group of them marching along, looking for food and making sure that there were no neighborhood dogs or cats around! This brings back good memories and it's such a marvelous photo!

When I saw this, I thought of those drinking birds (see here) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drinking_bird Great shot. It's wonderful how they are all in the same position and angle. Beautiful details and setting.
