Description

The ninth artwork in my 2012 Xmas Gift Art Project, this one is for my Aunt Vicki. I wasn't sure at all what to create for her so while she was at my grandma's I asked her what her favorite colors were (I couldn't think of what else I could ask!) and she (and my cousin) said "burgundy and teal". So that's about all I had to go on and somehow I came up with this. Mom once said my aunt liked Gone with the Wind and I thought this gown looked like something of that theme, at least a little. I just really like the little doves. The scene wasn't too difficult to set up but the postwork took a lot of time. I had to figure out how to enhance the burgundy and teal without making it look monochromed. I also wanted it to have a slight "antique" look. I hope I got it all looking right!
