You can read more about Montezuma Castle HERE It's much smaller than Mesa Verde, but it's a lovely place. We were fortunate enough to be there in April when everything is green ... even in the desert!

I remember being here in May 2011 and I must say that this pic is far better than any I took.
Glad to have stirred your memory, Tara, & thanks for linking to my gallery. I like the different tones of color here as well as the play of light & shadow. The construction looks a lot more primitive here than in Mesa Verde - large areas of what looks like rough mud rather than distinct, orderly brick patterns...

You may me want to go back there and see the cliff dwelling. Some areas are closed due to erosion and are being repaired. Nice shot Tara.
This is such an eerie spot; I can't imagine what it must have been like living under the shadow of those cliffs! "Heavy heavy hangs over thy head..." Excellent capture!

I haven't been there but I've read everything I could get my hands on about it and googled every picture taken for centuries. LOL I feel as if I know it and surrounding habitats. Well done shot. I feel like I am "back home" - as if I once lived near here.
