A lady releases her baby that she has raised from a hatchling back into the wild where its mother calls for its return. There is indecision; the lady has chosen to let go of her pet, will it let go of her?

Someone once brought a female red-tailed hawk to me that he picked up on the side of the road because it was apparently sick. It wouldn't eat anything he gave it, but he was trying to feed it the wrong things. I fed her raw calves liver. She thrived. I took care of her for about three-four weeks until she was strong again. I grew so attached to her. She would even let me pet her. But then came the day she had to be set free. I couldn't go. I couldn't watch her fly away. I said goodbye before-hand. That's what this reminds me of. Beautiful work, Roxy.
