It's so nice to have a brother who is constantly building something and who invites us over to take pictures! :)
I have no idea what the brace was for, but I liked it. The division of space on a construction site is inspiring! (Well, it inspires me. I suppose not so much if you're not into abstract composition!)

Some great tension there by the look of it Tara. Nice shot.
Perhaps your brother set this up so you would have something interesting to photograph. If so it worked. All verticles and horizontals and then this big diagonal running through the middle of everything.
Interesting to me Tara! What is he building? It looks interesting and it looks like 2x6 exterior walls probably to allow for better insulation. Anyway, it looks like he is doing a super job!

The first thing I noticed were power tools! I like power tools. You can make stuff with 'em. When I got past the power tools, I was really taken by the light and the color. I love the warm, gold tones and the woody textures. This is great! And now I'm quite anxious to see what this could become...or just more power tools. This rocks. More of these shots would be most welcome.
Excellent shot, Tara. It could have been here in the summer outside, in the space between the house and the sheds. It is roofed. I must admit, that this looks looks a biiiitt more in system :)
The brace is to pull the exterior wall in a bit - once the joists are on top of the walls, they lock the framing in and the brace can be removed.
There is just something strangely fascinating about something under construction.. Maybe it's because it is somewhere in between being nothing, and being a complete structure. I don't know.. But you've certainly captued it well, Tara!
