Description
A sign I came across on an old WW1 weapons testing range that has been long abandoned. Careful stepping is a must!

I agree, but there are many other places to walk rather than chancing on it being your last walk! (Can't believe the spectacular news video of waterspouts in Australia this weekend! Good thing they didn't hit land as one was quite large)
Not for me. I will avoid this area at all cost. Superb capture my friend. God Bless.
So not just the wild beasts you have to worry about then.. :)
And snakes!
I hope the animals can read!! A blast from the past.
Great shot mate. There are probably a fair few WW2 UXB's dotted around this country so being an old firing range at least you have a warning. Walk with care!!!
takes the edge off of a walk just a bit
no walkabout there, that's for sure Great capture
O.K.!!! Not something you'd want to be stepping on then.. ? Great find! lol Rob
I don,t get it! They don't have metal detectors in OZ?
The old munitions can be 6 - 15 feet below ground. A metal detector won't help... vibration from movement will. Don't count on age making things less dangerous through decay, etc.
That would definitely be enough to turn me around - an interesting (& potentially life-saving) find...
I think I will stay at the sign, and let you go on ahead if you wish. Okay. LOL!!!! Very interesting sign. :)))))) Excellent capture my friend. :))))) Thank you for sharing. :)))) Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))))
Its sad that with all that unexploded ordinance left behind, it puts a danger to anyone venturing in there. Clean up take Big Bucks and time and yet, not everything is guaranteed that its safe such "Kaho’olawe Clean Up" in Hawaii. Well, hope it will be safe there one day....? Aloha
Oh pay no mind to that sign, just go ahead! If they didn't work the first time what makes you think they would work after all these years. ;D LOL! Feel lucky? Great sign capture! :)
I love signs like this and have hundreds of photos of signs that people E-mail to me!
