I am so very sorry for your loss. My father is gone 14 years now, and it is only in the last couple of years that I do not have tears well up in my eyes, or feel my throat get tight when I think of him. Well, not completely anyway. And I think of him often. Very often. He was the best man I ever knew, and my best friend. It will indeed take time, that is so very true. It will take a long time, but you should remember this: He loved you. He would want you to go on with your life and live a long, full, happy life. The ache of his loss will be less and less with each passing year. In time, you will smile when you think of him. And wherever he is, he'll smile too. I've always liked to think so. Take care, you and yours have my deepest sympathies. It will get easier, remember that.
