I love solitary photography and this is nicely solitary! Very moody and comforting at the same time; that single bird (I'm assuming it's a gull) makes this shot and the sky is perfectly dramatic. I love it!

The bird at perfect 1/3 rule totally makes the shot. His position in lower left plus the subtle ripples leading to the upper right draw the viewer along the seascape. Great composition in addition to dramatic postwork.
