Description
With over a million people descending yesterday to celebrate San Francisco Giants World Series win over the Detroit Tigers was one big party. And yes, San Francisco can throw one heck of a party even on a short 2 day notice. Fun was had by all. This shot was taken on the corner of 2nd and Market street. I can now take "Just an old fashioned ticker tape parade" off my bucket list.
Thank you for stopping by.

You have a great photo, Costa. But I have to tell you that tickertape and any other related litter completely ruins any celebration for me..I can't even stand streamers at a table, and party poppers make me want to vomit! I may have some sort of OCD about it..
A fantastic shot of this street celebration.
Never fear Andrea. San Francisco being San Francisco. It was all bio-degradable paper and the sweepers descended like stink on caca and cleaned it all up following the parade. :)
Great shot. As a former resident of the Bay Area (I lived there for over 30 years), I was glad to see the Giants win (though a tense 7 game series would have been more fun)...
Fantastic shot!
Gotta go with paper confetti. It disappears after one good rain or one street cleaner's spray. And it is so much fun. Good for the environment - becomes great composting material. Hey, Costa! I looked for you on the live TV coverage of the parade. Don't know where you were photographing from but I couldn't find you in the crowd shots.
Excellent photo! What else is on the bucket list?
the giants ROCK!!!! great shot, wish i could've seen that!!
The pink, that's what counts.
