Here's one for all the car fanciers out there. We left Mt. Magazine Wednesday, and drove to Petit Jean State Park. It was rainy, and we got there a few hours before check-in time, so we drove around looking for a way to kill a few hours. We found this wonderful Museum of Automobiles, which was a great way to kill a couple hours. I fell in love with this beautiful '41 Chevy truck. VITAL INFO: 1941 Chevrolet 1/2 Ton Truck The 1941 models were easily identified by their new front end with fender-mounted headlight pods which were crowned by sweptback parking lights. The grille has two distinct sections. The upper was similar to the 1940 version with two thick horizontal bars capped by a top bar with a thin divider and a bottom bar with Chevrolet lettering. The remaining grille elements consisted of broad vertical bars sweeping outward from a center post carrying a Chevrolet logo. This truck was purchased in Waco, Texas, just 3 days before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It was stored during the early forties, while it owner served in WWII. The original owner drove the truck until 1962, when he again stored it until early eighties. At that time, the truck had been driven only 57,000 miles. The current owner, Mr. Looper, purchased the truck with its mileage being only 69,000. This truck has all of its original running gear & sheet metal with no rust and only minor body repair.
