Description
This will probably be my last image posted until no later than Monday 22 October 2012. I will be in the woods, starting tomorrow afternoon, with a couple friends, camping and hunting. While I don't expect to get anything, I will gain some valuable experience which I feel is long overdue. I wish you all a wonderful and creative week to 9 days. I will check in tomorrow morning but after that.....
Thank you for all your wonderful comments and faves as well as stories and your fantastic artwork.
Until then....
and yes, I will be taking my cameras with me. (do you really think I would pass up this photo-op?)

Beautiful capture and motif, Mike. I hope you have a great trip.
hehe.... great image for a woods-gettaway "goodbye" :) I wish you a great time with your buddies, Mike! I hope that you get out of it what you meant to, and am excited to see what you bring back to us! :) Stay safe!
have a great time... enjoy the wild while it's still there, and not abounding with oilwells..
What a wonderful shot, with the fern and green. Have a good time and take care off you!
superb capture Mike! To be truthful, I really hope you come back with tons of photos and no dead animals, but that's just me. So, wish you luck out there, and hope the weather is awesome. Enjoy the peace of the wilderness & and fellowship of your friends.
Great work , thinking of you , have a great time.
nice capture my friend, I hope you have fun on your holiday
I hope that you are having a grand adventure out there in the woods.
Great shot!!
Look forward to those photo ops, until then my friend!
Getting back nature is always kool as long as it doesn't turn into Survivor the TV show or worse Deliverance...YIKES and take care...oh, your back...DOH ! ~Cheers~
A most lovely mood and capture here, Mike. I love the fog as the colors on it. I wish you a great time in the woods. What an exciting experiment it will be. And now waiting for your return with a lot of stunning photographic, I guess. Please be kind to the animals, Mike ;-)
Have fun :D
Fantastic capture!!!!!
I hope you've had a great time..;)
this is a great "journey begins here" shot. Cool woods.
A beautiful shot right into the fog! Safe adventure into the woods!
Oh I hope you had an awesome trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a beautiful shot! I love the way the mist picks up subtle colors from its surroundings. The blue edges fade into soft pinks and yellows. There are bluish grays where trees are almost completely obscured in the distance. Excellent captures of the trees. I like the center section where there are many layers visible going back in the distance. Beautiful colors, detail, and textures.
