Description
An experiment in...well, I lot of things but mostly using overlays and cutout styles. It looks fantastic on my work PC's high end monitor but I'm now looking at this on my cheapie notebook's screen and it looks really dark and a bit crappy. How does it look to you? Should I lighten it or something? It's supposed to be at sunset and the sun is behind and to her right so there can't be too much light in front of her.
Anywho, this is also another promotional artwork for my graphic novel "Journeys of Shelby Bly". Google it or look for *shelby-bly at deviantART. :) Here she is in Egypt, deep in thought and feeling a bit suspicious after what happens there.
Now back to my other task of the day. I'm replacing two really old hard drives with two brand new SATA 6 1.5Tb drives I bought on sale a few days ago for $70 each. Saving and loading files will soon fly! I so look forward to speeding up my workflow...

I think it gets the intended feeling across quite well - at least it looks great on my Viewsonic monitor.. I'll have to drop by - been missing Shelby's adventures...

I dont think it looks to dark at all but then I like very dramatic light & shadow my self. Also too I like the sepia tone hue it adds a sort of ancient feel to a work that has a sort of ancient history about it. You talked of useing overlays and cutout styles, can you please explain more about cutout styles. Once again this is an excellent work of art Bravo! and hats off to ya
