Why that's one of the best looking TV's I've seen in a long time! Great photo Richard!
Wow now that's something ya don't see anymore...or at least around here. I remember just after I got my divorce in 2001, going to Sears to get my first Magnavox TV. I was so darn proud of myself...since then though, due to technology all the televisions and monitors for our PCs have been replaces with the snazzy Flatscreen, HD and all that lol Great memory Richard!
Old SONY!!!!!!
Memories...
Never seen the first model Sony before, very cool stuff Richard
That's a classic not a make I am used to what a shame :) Cathy xoxoxo
I used to have the same model TV many many years ago. LOL You still on rare occassion see a sign advertising a motel with big letters, "Color TV" :) That is a sure sign that they have not upgraded thier sign in a long time.
Lol - In 1975 I had a smaller b/w one, just 25x35cm, the new one is a lot bigger: 42' Inches!
have a few in my garage.
Before remotes I used to say to my sons....Back in the day we actually had to "get up" and "walk" across the room to change the channels...lol...Not to mention having to climb an Arial to shift the antenna to capture the UHF channels...lol!.. I have a friend that takes old TV's like the one your showing and guts out all the insides including the screen and puts a flat screen in the slot where the old tube went..He actually makes a decent living retrofitting them... ~smiles~
I had a similar one, brings back memeories. Thanx for posting
no remote, right? Kids today wouldn't believe that :) Excellent!
LOL. Was a similar device in the GDR to buy about 1990. Was my 1st Monitor for the C64.
Cool find, outstanding capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This brings back memories!
That is so cool
Yep the old days...lol. I remember all the times of going outside in the blasting snow storms to turn the antenna and only having two or three channels to pick from... some progress is good.
A true relic !
How time have changed with TV screens and technology. Interesting shot. Aloha
I have a photo of myself as a baby on my grandmother's lap, in front of a huge TV with a little tiny screen, LOL!
A classic..nice shot Richard!!
Havent seen one of these little boxes in forever :) Sony was an innovator in making things small, for sure!
Great photo of the old Sony. How lonely and vulnerable our electronics must feel as they are constantly obsoleted and replaced.
Wow! Say goodbye!
Gone and soon to be forgotten!!
Boy! That brings back memories from when I was young, but then again I remember the old B&W T.V.s before these. :) Excellent capture! :)
Standard American issue for those times I think. I had one for many, many years. Sort of like seeing an old friend again after many, many years...
We had one, moons ago. Cool photo.
Hey, not to date myself, but I had one of these. LOL! Great capture Richard!!
RP: HELLO! ... Brings back MEMORIES to this OLD geezer! ... My late 'pop' had a Black & White ADMIRAL .... '3' UHF stations at the time ONLY .... Had to GET UP off your BEHIND to CHANGE the channels AND they ALL went OFF AIR just after MIDNIGHT ....T.P.
