Description
this was at the Nathan Boone Homestead
not very good focus. I had a second only to capture it with no time to make adjustment for a faster shutter

Beautiful shot. I caught a Great Horned Owl with some friends when I was about 14. We thought we could keep it as a pet. We soon learned otherwise. Owls can really get down to business.
Splendid collage! :)
Remarkable series Richard!
SUPERLATIVE WORK!
I think this may be a Barred Owl. They do sometimes come out in the day time. Great capture, Richard!!! I was once out walking in a reserve and happened to see a Great Snowy Owl. I had my camera hanging around my neck, but I was so stunned and shocked by how big it was that I just stood there. And then it flew away. It's wing-span was six feet or better. So, I admire your quick shooting!!
It is more rare here to see these birds in town . But you put great pics of them ((5++))
Very cool capture!
Wonderful.
Very well captured and great spotting. I have wanted to get an owl shot for ages.
I've never seen an owl in the wild... these are great shots! I heard one in my backyard this summer, but I couldn't see him.
