Description
A darker pirate artwork to celebrate today; it's Talk Like a Pirate Day!
I started work on this last month but my results last month looked terrible so I put it on hold for a while, saved it to my external backup and forgot about it for a time. Recently, I revived it and updated many elements while adding more details. I replaced the old character with my brand new Miria, enhanced all materials, added the ship since it looked weird before with just a plank, and then did a good job of postwork on it. I'm pleased with how this piece turned out.
I'm not going to get into explaining each element of this semi-concept piece; I'd rather let you interpret it as you wish. :)

Interesting image. Great POV. I take it the shark is the big bad world and the character is taking the easy way out?
