Description
This is a brand new portrait of my brand new Nicola 2012 character. I created a portrait of the old version of Nicola some time ago but this isn't a revision of that portrait, this is a brand new artwork with the new character.
I've seen portraits (photographs) of people done like this with only one powerful side light then some soft fill light to really show the contours of the face and shading of the skin. I thought that would be the perfect style to show off my very unique Nicola... and I do believe I was correct.

Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! and I love your lighting technique. Youve created something that is both modern in presentation but yet has a touch of the old world Renaissance masters. Also must say she reminds me someone who would have been used to represent one of the old Greek gods or something like that. Bravo!!!!!
