Glad he doesn't have four heads.. :)
Whatever it is it's a great shot Andrea.
Looks like he has armored plating on his back. Cool capture.
Fine macro...looks well armoured.
I can see its leather vest. Superb macro. I saw something similar to this in Bali.
Looks like what I used to call a stinkbug LOL Great pic Hugs Susan~
I love the leathery skin on this little person! The colors are marvelous as is the focus on the young person here. I love the eye color. Also, this is unrelated, but in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine...the Jem'Hadar starships were actually shaped like the rear portions of insect nymphs, right down to the ridged abdominal parts. Funny how that works! I kinda liked the Jem'Hadar, and the Vorta...some of the better races to come out of Star Trek but maybe it's because their ships looked like bug bellies. Anyway...now that I'm done rambling, I'll just sit back and enjoy this photo! I don't think this species likes this side of the pond very much...I've never seen one of these, but I have seen their cousins.
Stunning capture Andrea. God Bless.
Amazing capture ...
Another perfectly composed and focused insect-upon-flora macro, Andrea! What an embarrassment of riches with all these varied arachnids and insects at your beck and call.
Pretty little fellow and an excellent capture of it.
One great shot of it i have seen these but i thought they called them stink bugs but not for sure.
beauty-capture; I think it is : coreus marginatus
Another super find! Have you trained your dogs to be bug pointers? Or are you always on your knees crawling in the undergrowth? Either way a cracking find and capture!
He has plenty of armour, funny looking little fella!!
Great find and capture, Andrea; like Chip, I've only ever seen distant cousins of this fellow here.
Excellent and a new species on me!
A great shot of the dock bug and also some fantastic veining in the Polygonums leaf.
Very nice bug shot!
beautiful bug, very nice shot
Cute little guy - I saw some similar here the last days. Maybe a great time for bugs :)
