Description
I shot this image last year this time in Amanzimtoti, Durban during my holiday! I actually just bought airline tickets for me and Kayla to fly to Durban towards the end of September for a long weekend of sun and sea!
I must apologize that I am not around posting and commenting much. I do look at every upload but duties are keeping me away.

Oooh! I really like this composition: everything fits together perfectly. Isn't it funny how photography works? There was an entire stretch of landscape, but you got only this part, and your composition highlights all of the right bits and pieces, and yet it's only a tiny, tiny portion of what's actually there. I like it when a subject is de-centered, and the Aloe (in bloom!) is so perfectly off to the side, revealing all of its splendor but not being a diva and stealing center stage! That makes it more beautiful, I think.

Is that Aloe, or Alone, on the Beach, Carin? If it's aloe, then it's the source of what I use in most of my skin lotions. That said, sterling clarity, color and definition in this shot, you're off on another holiday, and when are you going to get me on GOTW again?
