Description
This pic was captured more than a year back during a trip to the Sundarbans. Sundarban - means 'The Beautiful Forest' in Bengali. Name comes from Sundari tree found here.
This forest is a World Heritage Site, and situated in Indian state of West Bengal and Bangladesh nation. This is one of the largest mangrove forest and river delta system. Also this is the natural habitat of Royal Bengal Tiger.
We were on a tiny fishing boat called 'Dingi' and went deep into the jungle. This pic truly depicts the nature of the forest - even at noon you never know what is waiting in front of you after the bend.

Beautiful shot
Excellent shot! xxx
It is very cool. Thanks. 5+!
Wonderful! I love forest shots, nature shots, and moody shots...this is wonderfully moody and I love the sense of mystery that dominates this shot. I can see how this would be a World Heritage site; it's worth preserving and protecting and enjoying as much as is humanly possible. Wonderful! I love the manner in which you've captured the ways in which shadows and light play together.
Great landscape capture my friend.
