Description
Being the Alpha Male can have some great rewards. You have your pick of the most fertile females and the best food. You can strut around intimidating the other males. But when danger approaches you are always on watch. And so it was that, when a strange metal box on wheels came too close to the tribe, the boss baboon sat and kept an eye on us while his subjects continued to eat and play and roll around in the grass.

Baboons and cats consuming part of my utmost respect. Even in the car I would be too close. Helicopter and a fabulous teleobjektiv would alternative for me! But is terribly interesting to observe this behavior. GREAT capture! * LOL * Brigitte
