Description
This is a Galapagos type tortoise. They are the largest living species of tortoise and 10th heaviest living reptile, reaching weights of over 880 pounds (400 kg) and lengths of over 5.9 feet (1.8 meters). With life spans in the wild of over 100 years, it is one of the longest lived vertebrates. A captive individual can live up to 170 years. Info from Wikipedia. This photo is so old that I do not remember where or when it was taken. The title is because this adult tortoise seemed to be looking for her baby and as you can see the younger tortoise was right behind her. It made me smile. Zoom does work.
Sorry that I have not been around much and I am behind in comments. Life has been getting in the way of my life these days.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Such a great capture, looking for your baby, and it's behind you :D What a heavy animal, and such old. In a way I have the idea, this must be a very patient animal, living so many years.
