Nice pose. I think it might help to rotate her left forearm slightly so the sword is more visible. Also, adding an expression, even a subtle one, should help the scene. I don't know if you should move the light behind her for more shadow or in front of her so her face is easier to see.

Thought I'd take a look at some of your earliest work. For an early attempt this is actually not too bad. The lighting and pose are quite good. But I'd agree with the above comment that the sword could be made more visible.
