Description
While sitting on the beach, I noticed a man walking to the cliff alone. I couldn't but wonder what he is thinking. Could his reason be the same as mine? Could he be missing someone, or have a lot on his mind. It was not a sunny day, it was not a sunset or sunrise. It was a overcast sky and a cold wind. I watched for a while, and then looked out to see myself. Pondering. I always found it funny how we as humans really are so much different from every other living thing. Sure we got some in common, but when it comes down to it. We are alone. Just like the guy standing on the cliff looking out to the sea.

This is a really nice, haunting image. I love the bleakness of it, the starkness...it reminds me of the closing scene in Akira Kurosawa's film, Ran: that was a haunting scene in an overall-haunting movie, and though this image is totally different, it has the same vibe--the emotion is strong but ambiguous. I rather like this as it inspires contemplation and investigation. This is really great. I like your choice of black and white.

A very soothing and inspirational image indeed! I like how you've captured the essence of the atmosphere and created a most beautiful, though pleasantly lonely mood. The water seems calm enough, as the waves ever so gently sweep across. Interesting to read your thoughts as well. Sometimes it really does feel like in the grand scheme of things, we really are alone. Great image and concept!
