Very interesting presentation on this topic. And you very well staged. Unfortunately the world is not only safe and well.
odd statues my friend, superb shot and like the details on the zoom.
Michel, this is without a doubt one of the most powerful and moving images I've seen in a long time. The figures depicted here are almost hard to look at as you can literally feel their pain. It's almost unimaginable that one human being could do such a thing to another but we know it happens. The best thing that can be done is what you've done here today. That is to call attention to such atrocities and to try to touch the hearts of those who could be so cruel.
Very powerful
It saddens me how cruel men can be, powerful message Mickey!
This is a very hard piece to look at! It really rips at my heart! I pray such terrible things will end!
This is a wonderful capture, Mickey, and highlights that there are all sorts of chains in the world, some visible, most not. The chains of hunger, of slavery, of oppression, of hopelessness...the list is endless. I wish I had even one small answer to these problems that plague our world. Thank you for sharing. :)
Michel, this image is an absolutely brilliant capture of the harsh, nearly unimaginable sufferings of so many millions of innocent, defenseless human beings over the course of so much tumultuous history. For me, it stirred up the horrors of the concentration camps, the gulags, and, of course, the P.O.W. camps of so many brutal wars. Truly, truly they should never be abandoned in the dark or forgotten. We can never forget. Ever. And learn from the horror of history to make sure it never happens again. Very powerful work, my friend. I commend you very, very highly.
very sad
Striking sculpture of the Horrors of Mankind! :(
Excellent shot and words make me think, Mickey!
Belle photo, Michel!
Mickey this is really moving to see this. It would have been even more interesting to know the story behind this, who the artist was who created them for instance? Whatever the idea behind this is, it nevertheless a very interesting if not disturbing piece of architecture. As for the photo and presentation as ever they are perfect - oh and yes I did zoom as usually I do, everyone should but not many do I am afraid, and they miss out on a lot. hugs Jane xx
powerful and sad and it hurts my heart. all I can do is pray.
Wow what is that Great photo anyway
Wow interesting image
I zoomed in too, it has a powerful message. Thank you for sharing, it is a great reminder to everyone.
We are all tortured and chained by our own inner demons Mickey. We need to face these demons and break the chains that bound us so that we can live a wonderful prosperous life. Wonderful thought provoking image!!!!
A very powerful capture, Michel, well worthy of a zoom in, and of saving on the hard drive... Did you mean to say - 'Do not leave them in the dark'?? The sculptures almost make these three humans, less than human, perhaps even alien. That is what the abuse of power does. Often it is driven by fear. And yes I know of the abuses of power by men and women. I was a police officer and witnessed many victims. Most could not, or were too afraid to speak up for themselves. Luckily in Scotland, in major crimes we do not need the victim to complain. The state takes that responsibility itself. Despite all the suffering I have seen over the years, and all the evil, violent persons I have encountered, I have also met so many people who give one hope. I believe that God suffers with us. We are never alone. With God we will win. God cradles the victims in His endless love. He turns all the bad things towards His great plans for each of us. Jesus does not wish to lose even one the flock which His Father gave into His care. We can pray for them, but we can also lobby / pressure / annoy our political representatives until like the judge in the gospel, they give justice to the victims / persistent widows. ( Luke Chapter 8, verses 1 to 8 ). Warm regards, and thanks again for making us think about this, Michel. God bless all those who have their rights ignored, their lives broken. I pray that they may know His love for them, through what others do for them... what we do for them. John.
The art is really disturbing. But the idea that you have made of it is fabulous. Very nicely done, Mickey.
what can we do?we can set free
Only God can do something really effective...we can pray for them and give them our caring hands ,a hearing ear o what else is in our posibilities to help...but only God has the definitive solution...and He for sure will do! big hugs my friend!!!
Cool!
Superbe sculpture mon cher ami :)
A worthy subject Mickey.. Well posted! I often wonder why artists can't make something that 'looks' like what they are meant to be showing.. It saves confusion, it saves it just looking awful! This is somewhere in the middle.. I read what you wrote first, then looked, and still though it was something to do with 'Slavery'.. So, there you go... On the message of the piece, I to agree that it's wrong to perform such things just for the sake of 'Evil' Governments and the like.. But, I would be quite willing to torture the scum that flew the aircraft into the Twin Towers in New York.. For free..... Now everyone will hate me, but that turns them into people defending terrorists..Odd huh? Good and worthy Micky.. Rob
It is very sick the way people torture other people because they think differently! An excellent photo!
