The Bowman is one of a pair. Along with The Spearman, they flank Congress Drive at Michigan Avenue in Chicago.

Hey, I know this guy! What a grand shot of something I've scarcely photographed! I love the light and the overall sense of nice, fun color in this shot! It's an echo of really good days too! For as long as I've seen this (Columbia College, my alma mater, isn't too far from this guy) I never really knew that much about it, but that just goes to show, when something's nearly everyday, it's not spectacular. I love the way this looks through your eyes though. Seeing a familiar thing or place through someone else's eyes is always refreshing, and this is marvelous, great, fantastic photographic work. I like every bit of it.

Fantastic composition. Aside from the Art Deco appeal of the stature itself, I especially like the way the Bowman is framed by the building behind it & that irregular patch of sky. I'm sure there were lots of potential POV's you could have shot this from, but you hit the jackpot with this one...

Nicely captured Tara. What does it mean when the horse has one leg up? Does it have the same meaning as military leaders on horses?
