Description
Ryder's Hill is the highest point of southern Dartmoor. It is a bleak and featureless place but has excellent views over the moor and part of South Devon. The short pillar is inscribed with an "H" (for Holne) and is also known as Petre on the Mount. The taller one has a "B" for Buckfastleigh and is also called Petre's Bound stone.
