Description
This is a closeup of part of a flower arrangers display I thought it looked like a space ship crossing a red sun.

Wowser!!
What a super-fantastic otherworldly-looking creature-plant-thingy! Very creepy seeming. Great shot! I can easily imagine this alien getting ready to wrap its tendril around some unsuspecting beauty's legs as it sneaks up from behind ...
How very weird!
Like invasion of the body snatchers.. Cool shot.
It does look like the seed pods from the 'Alien' movies! Look out Sigourney Weaver!!!!! A great shot Alan!
An excellent macro! A most interesting subject, it's fascinating to see such nature! Great colours and presentation!
Great shot - lots of interesting detail & color & yes, it does have an alien kind of look to it. I really liked the tighter crop on the thumbnail though & thought that would have made a possibly even more interesting image...
cool plant, great dof
